Manchester United: Is This Why José Mourinho Recalled Bastian Schweinsteiger to Old Trafford?

At the launch of Manchester United's latest commercial tie-in, with a mattress and pillow manufacturer, talk turned to one of José Mourinho's most-publicized exiles.
The incongruity seemed to sum up United's continuing dysfunctionality, as Luke Shaw bounced with enthusiasm at the return from exile of a player whose exile was never fully explained .
“It's great to see him back,” Shaw said, speaking at the launch of United’s partnership with mattress and pillow manufacturer Mlily. “We found out the news a couple of days ago and it's so great to have him back.
“He's a big influence in the dressing room and obviously on the pitch, especially for the young players like myself.
“It's a great boost for us, the experience and the quality that he brings. The quality he possesses is a boost for our team and I'm so glad to have him back.”
Schweinsteiger’s recall may be brief, though. The Daily Express claims Mourinho has brought him back to raise his fitness levels so the former Germany captain can be sold on in January.
The 32 year old was frozen out by Mourinho when the Portuguese manager arrived at Old Trafford, and he has been training with the youth team ever since.
Schweinsteiger tweeted his happiness at being recalled — “ Felt great today! Team is in good shape, results will follow!” he wrote, the forced jollity of two exclamation marks perhaps made necessary by United’s mediocre recent run of results. Results have varied, to riff on one of Limp Bizkit’s lesser works. Schweinsteiger may be back, but it is unlikely to be a permanent return to the belly of United’s beast.
